Long before this magical morning begins, the planning was already in full swing.
The groom-to-be reached out to me because he wanted to create something truly unforgettable for the woman he loves.
This is not meant to be a spontaneous proposal. It is meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, carefully planned, deeply personal, and beautifully documented.

We talked about his wishes, his vision, and the emotions he hoped to create. Together, we discussed the perfect setting, ideal timing, and the locations I recommend based on my years of experience photographing proposals around Neuschwanstein Castle. Every little detail was considered so that, on the day itself, he could simply focus on one of the most important question of his life.
Everything was prepared perfectly.
And then, on a beautiful July morning, the fairytale began:
Right on time, they turn onto the small country road, leading to our meeting point. I am already waiting, carefully hidden from sight. M has no idea I am there.
B quietly puts down his backpack and both of their sunglasses. For a brief moment, the world seems to stand still.
Then he turns towards M, gets down on one knee, and begins to speak. I can´t hear his words, but I am sure they are heartfelt, full of love, gratitude, and hope for the future they dream of together.
Finally, he asks the question she has been waiting for.
"Will you marry me?" Without hesitation, she says yes.
He gently places the ring on her finger, and they embrace as if the rest of the world has disappeared. They kiss, they laugh, and for a few precious moments, nothing else exists except the two of them.
It is exactly as magical as he imagined.
Only then do I step out from my hiding place.
I introduce myself, congratulate the newly engaged couple, and together we begin their engagement photoshoot.

For Disney lovers, there could hardly be a more fitting place.
The couple has travelled all the way to Germany because of the castle that inspired Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Naturally, they have brought a little Disney magic with them. Mickey ears, hidden in their luggage, make a playful appearance, while B proudly wears his Disney socks—small details that perfectly reflect their personalities and remind us that growing up never means giving up your dreams.
Throughout the session, we move between several carefully chosen locations. Every viewpoint reveals another breathtaking perspective of Neuschwanstein Castle. We photograph quiet embraces, joyful laughter, gentle kisses, and countless little moments of connection. Nothing feels rushed. Nothing feels posed. They simply enjoy being together, completely immersed in the happiness of their engagement.
Later, we continue at a second location.
The castle rises beautifully above the landscape while the peaceful water and wooden pier create an entirely different atmosphere. The scenery changes, but the feeling remains the same: warmth, excitement, romance, and the unmistakable feeling that every fairytale begins with love.
A proposal is so much more than asking a question.
It is months of planning. Trust. Anticipation. Excitement.
It is one unforgettable "Yes."
After the photoshoot, we meet online again for the image presentation. One of the things my clients appreciate most is the freedom to decide which photographs they truly love.
